Hello friends! I am back from vacation and it went way too fast!
As we all know, today is What I Eat Wednesday! Yay! I have had some requests on posting the overnight oats recipe from my Friday Favorites #1 So today I will be featuring one of my favorite breakfast cereals:
Recipe for {Simple} Overnight Oats
Makes 1-2 servings of Overnight Oats
Prep time: 10 minutes –> Let sit overnight
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup plain greek yogurt
- 2/3 cup old fashioned oats
- 1-2 tbsp of honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Toppings of your choice
Directions:
- Mix the yogurt and old fashioned oats in a bowl. Add honey, cinnamon and vanilla and mix until combined.
- Let the mixture sit in the refrigerator overnight.
- Add any toppings you want and enjoy for breakfast!
Recipe Notes from For the Love of Running Kitchen: In the particular picture for this blog, I added fresh blueberries and almonds. Other add-in toppings that are good include: bananas, any kind of berry, raisins, cashews, walnuts, chocolate chips, peanut butter, flax, etc.
This is the simplest of my overnight oat recipe experiments. I will most likely post more in the future, but I decided to use the easiest version for today’s post. I hope you enjoy! Please continue to like and follow For the Love of Running for more recipes!
What are your favorite breakfast cereals? If you tried this recipe, what toppings did you like/add?
