What I Eat Wednesday: Homemade Cashew Butter

Aaron and I love nuts and nut butters.  We always buy some types of nuts on our weekly grocery trips.  We really like cashew butter, but it can definitely add up if you buy the pre-made stuff.  Aaron decided to make some homemade cashew butter a few weeks ago.  It was delicious!  We made some last night so that I could write about it today. 🙂  Enjoy!

Recipe for Homemade Cashew Butter

Homemade Cashew Butter

Makes 1 jar (about 16 oz of cashew butter)

Prep time: 10-15 minutes –> Refrigerate after making


  • 16 oz of salted cashew halves
  • 2-4 tbsp of olive oil
  • Splash of honey (if desired)


Slowly blend cashews and olive oil in blender to desired consistency.
