My Current Thoughts on Running + Motivational Quotes

Hey friends and happy Thursday! It’s almost the weekend…woot woot!

Today I just thought I’d share some of my current thoughts on where I’m at with running in my life:

I’ve been running and training for road races for 7 years now and this year will be my third marathon! I’ve also kind of lost track of how many half marathons I have run. I’d have to go back and count my medals or something.  But in all seriousness, one of my goals for this blog is to eventually create a page under the “running” tab that just lists all my races and times. That will be a fun research project. 😉

I’ve truly come a long way with running and my overall thoughts and feelings on running are good. I love always being able to create new running goals for myself! Running also allows me to just set some time aside for myself and personal health and well being.  And, I love how running is something that is common ground for me and Aaron and is an activity that we share {and love} together.

Running has it’s challenges, but I feel so blessed that it’s just a part of my life routine now. 🙂

Here are some of my favorite running quotes – most are motivational :):

Don’t be afraid to dream of achieving the impossible.

– Shalane Flanagan

Once you make the decision that you will not fail, the heart and body will follow.

– Kara Goucher

Anybody can be a runner… We were meant to move. We were meant to run. It’s the easiest sport.

-Bill Rodgers

Some people create with words or with music or with a brush and paints. I like to make something beautiful when I run. I like to make people stop and say, ‘I’ve never seen anyone run like that before.’ It’s more than just a race, it’s a style. It’s doing something better than anyone else. It’s being creative

-Steve Prefontaine

What are some of your favorite motivational quotes for running/working out?

Update: P.S. Today is my brother’s 21st birthday! Happy Birthday Jacob!
